To start with, I love GHIBLI’s movies! Now, I'll tell a bit about them.
Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata have made today’s GHIBLI. Miyazaki mainly made fantasy storys that girls and boys are focused on, like “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind”and “Castle in the Sky”. Then, Takahata focused on the human emotions in an ordinary dairy life, like “Grave of the Fireflies” and “Only Yesterday”. Tosio Suzuki, GHIBLI’s producer, said many of their movies stress the growth of the girls or boys at their puberty. For example, in “KiKi’s Delivery service” a little cute witch who doesn’t know much of the world is a main character. She has to go live an unfamiliar town alone and undergo a hard time to become an independent woman. As for “Whisper of the Heart”, a junior high school girl decides to reconsider her life when she gets to know her future boyfriend then she desperately struggles to find her own way. These are the story about growth of the young. On the other hand, their movies also have an aspect of philosophy.” Princess Mononoke” and “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind” emphasize the harmony between nature and human being. Their movies are not just recreational ones. Every time I watch GHIBLI’s movies I realize their messages over and over.
I love “KiKi’s Delivery service” the best. Second, “Whisper of the Heart”. Third, ”Spirited Away”. It seems like I like watching a girl striving to accomplish something hard.
What do you think about GHIBLI? Or what is your favorite piece out of GHIBLI’S ones?
I want your opinions.
What is the orange X thing on your blog? Could you check it please? As I am not interested in animated movies, I haven't watched a single Miyazaki or Ghibli movie so I can't comment on your topic I'm afraid. The only animated movie that I watched and enjoyed from beginning to end is The Secret of Kells, an Irish movie. It is really beautiful to me. Why don't you check it out? You can find it in the 6F self-study room.

I like "もののけ姫(Mononoke Princess)" in GHIBLI movies. This movie told us how to make good or bad relationship with nature and human's technology. GHIBLI movie's have good concepts as education materials for children. These movies makes children and sometimes even adults think today's life style.

My favorite Ghibli movie is Nausicaa. I was recommended by a prep school teacher and watched it during the summer, though I had to study for university entrance exams. It was so good that I bought the DVD for Christmas. I like the scene when Nausicaa raising hands to protest against enemies. This scene reminds me of the proberb, the pen is mightier than sword. I also like the music used in Ghibli movies. A lot of them were composed by Joe Hisaishi and I have some of his works in the iPod.
